I took a brief hiatus from blogging, mainly so I could catch up on everything that is actually important! Now that everything important is done, I'm back.
:)
Truth is, blogging is therapeutic for me. Even though it's not as important as cleaning the house or exercising, it still plays a little part in keeping me sane.
Can anyone tell me why buying a house is so difficult? Chris and I are in the process of looking for a house, and we found THE perfect house last Friday. This house was on the market for 180 days with no action, but wouldn't luck have it, the day we put in an offer, someone else did the same, and apparently theirs was way over the asking price. I really thought this was the one. I decorated every room in my mind. I even picked out my "Welcome Home Honey" present from Chris (yes, I did make this up, and I did pick it out myself! haha)- this rug from Anthro.
Now I feel like someone else will be living in my house. Here's a picture of the house. RIP lovely abode. The house-buying process is much more complicated that I'd like to admit. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I've found myself really aggravated and stressed out about how long everything takes and how wishy-washy everyone involved is. Until the actual closing of the house, nothing is certain. This is a great lesson in trusting in God and relying on his provision. We know we'll find the perfect house for our family.
On a sweeter note, I found a new yummy treat that is only 2 WW points:
I know I know... it's not exactly the healthiest thing ever, but it's better than a bowl-full of Ben and Jerry's. According to a lovely little impulse buy from Target, a book called "This is Why You're Fat," I'm a sugar addict. Even though the title puts a bad taste in my mouth, it really did open my eyes to how much sugar I eat on a daily basis. I've tried going sugar-free the past couple days and look what happened. I bought Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. Hah.
Things I'd like to blog on this week:
My birth story, finally.
How I handle being a full-time work-at-home mom.
Friendships.
My new interior design plans for our new house :)
Kale chips...thanks for the idea Heather!
